David Reid CPA, MAAT, ATT Director

David has been a director with Tolvern since incorporation having previously traded in partnership with Peter May under the name P S May & Co.  He has a keen focus on tax and knows how a good knowledge and understanding in this area can really help support clients and help them reach their goals.  With clients at the core of everything we do, David sees himself as a sounding board with a wide range of skills to support local businesses.

David feels that with the ever-changing tax landscape by continuing his studies towards the CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) qualification will help to keep his experience in line with the training.  Tax matters to everybody not only being a major cost in running a business but a vital part of society. The work we do ensures that you can balance those factors along with your books.

His previous career working as a chef for over 10 years has given him a wealth of experience within the service sector, which contrasts with his degree in Mathematics from UCL, which fuelled a strong desire to problem solve and optimise those solutions.

Living in Budock Water, David makes the most of being close to the coast, gets out with the dog every day.  With a young family, he loves to spend time at home in the garden and exploring the local area.
